Resin Blend Description

At Gnarly, we don’t just fill bags — we engineer the way they play. Every series uses our all-weather plastic resin blends designed for consistency, durability, and gnarly drip no matter the conditions.

Regular Blend (Standard Line – L-style inspired):
Before the L(light) series were allowed, Gnarly designed our resin blend to perform in this manner. Our original bags have always been light, floppy and small template. We wanted to be on the smaller side of the acceptable guidelines from the very first bag. Our regular line uses a dual-resin blend that mirrors what players love in “L” builds — softer, more compactable resins that flow naturally through the bag. This creates a flexible feel in the hand, lets the bag contour and collapse on impact, and maximizes hole-friendliness. The result is a bag that wants to drip, forgiving to the boards, and perfectly tuned for players who like smooth slides and effortless finishes.

H Blend (Fuller Performance – Gnarly H-series):
For the H series we push the same trusted resin recipe further by introducing a third resin into the mix. This changes the internal balance, creating a bag that feels noticeably fuller in the hand without sacrificing playability. The added resin tightens up the flow, giving the bag more body and structure, which translates into stronger cut and roll potential, predictable bounce, and a firmer presence on the board. It’s the same gnarly drip at the hole — but with the added control and shot-shaping ability that fuller bags bring.

Knockout Bag – Performance Breakdown

• Slow Side (bottom): Featuring a linen-style woven fabric, this side delivers a medium-slow pace in most conditions, ideal for blocks, rolls, and precise placement. When humidity rises or the boards slow down, this fabric really digs in and holds position, making it a reliable stopper for defenders who like to control tempo. Its textured weave also enhances shot-shaping ability, giving confidence for roll and flop mechanics while still providing consistent grip in the hand.
• Fast Side: On the flip side, the Knockout uses a smooth, tightly woven 8-speed material designed for clean slides and effortless pushes. Rated in the 8/9 speed range, this surface glides with ease in dry conditions, yet still retains predictability when moisture is present. It’s the go-to side for clearing bags, executing power pushes, or just getting to the hole when you need speed on demand.

The ELEVEN is built for players who want the best of both worlds: a controlled, true-tracking slow side paired with a uniquely engineered fast side that you won’t find on any other bag.

• Slow Side (Bottom): Designed with a hybrid carpet-style material that plays straight and true. This side is forgiving on less-than-perfect releases, helping players maintain consistency without sacrificing control. Its balance makes it ideal for blocking, placement, and tactical pushes.
• Fast Side (Top): A one-of-a-kind woven fabric pattern delivers speed while still offering a firm, confident grip. Unlike slicker high-speed fabrics, this surface maintains just enough texture to provide touch and precision, giving players the quickness they want without losing command of the bag.

Slow Side (Herringbone Carpet): A true control surface that grabs just enough to shape shots—block, cut, and roll—while still offering reliable drip when you get near the hole. Tracks straight for players who aren’t perfectly flat, then breaks in to a soft, forgiving flop without turning into a suede-like stop. Expect a medium-slow pace out of the box that settles a touch as it seasons, with lighter colors tending to stay a shade quicker.
Fast Side: A moisture-cutting, hole-friendly slide that stays quick in heat and punches through traffic when boards slow down. It rides clean in damp conditions and turns into a true “get-it-close and let it fall” face in warm/dry air, giving you confident push power and effortless collects.

Top (Fast Side) – 9 Speed
The fast side of Vanish is built for pure glide. Rated at a 9, it slides effortlessly for push shots, clean-ups, and back-door slides. Its smooth texture rewards a confident throw and creates consistent momentum without over-running the hole.

Bottom (Slow Side) – 6/7 Speed
The slow side comes in at a 6–7, giving you the control to place blocks while still melting into the hole with ease. A subtle texture adds forgiveness, keeping lines straighter and reducing kick even under pressure.

Resin Fill
Inside, Vanish carries our balanced resin blend — compactable, soft in hand, and designed for a straighter, truer path. The bag breaks in quickly, holds comfortably, and delivers that reliable gnarly drip every time it finds the hole.

Bottom (Slow) Side — Hybrid Carpet | Speed: ~4–5
Anchored with a modern hybrid carpet that thrives in the 4–5 speed range, the slow side is all about control and creativity. Out of the box it feels firm and consistent, breaking in to a buttery sweet spot without getting floppy. On the board, it’s made for set-and-work play: plant strong blocks, then attack with cut, roll, bounce, or backdoor slides. Humidity doesn’t shut it down—it checks when you need it to and stays reliable in clean, quick conditions. If you like to dictate tempo, this side gives you the tools to frustrate opponents and own the pace.

Top (Fast) Side — Woven Performance Fabric | Speed: ~8–9
Paired with a sleek woven fast side, the Namesake opens the lane when it’s time to score. Running in that true 8–9 gear, it has the speed to push through traffic, clear blocks, and finish with gnarly drip, while the woven texture keeps it predictable and controllable even on lively boards. It plays around a 4–5 speed, making it ideal for blocks, cuts, and roll shots without the unpredictable kick of carpet. As boards speed up, it stays steady, and in humid conditions it naturally checks up, giving you that extra hold and stopping power when the game slows down. Once broken in, it softens to a forgiving, hole-friendly feel that delivers smooth melts and Gnarly drip.

Top (Fast) Side – Smooth, Soft Speed:
The fast side is the same soft, fast-playing fabric used on our Gnarly Vanish and Gnarly Eclipse, tuned to a consistent 9 speed. Out of the box, it feels Soft but quickly breaks into a buttery-smooth release, sliding straight with minimal kick or bounce. Whether you’re clearing blockers, racing to the hole, or executing controlled pushes, this side gives you the speed to finish plays with confidence.

• Slow Side (Speed 4–5): The same trusted control fabric we run on Vulcan X. Its natural texture parks blocks, holds your line, and gives you surgical touch for place-and-chase setups—while still responding when you need a gentle collect or push.
• Fast Side (Speed ~7–8): Crafted from the same material we use on the slow/bottom of Gnarly Vanish, this woven slick brings controlled quickness. It slides through traffic and cleans up clusters, yet the weave keeps it predictable in hand and less jumpy than ultra-slick 9+ fabrics. Great for confident pushes, lane clears, and finishing shots across a wide range of board conditions.

Play Profile: Block early, apply pressure late. Use the slow side to own tempo, then flip to the fast side for decisive clears and hole finishes—with enough texture on both faces to keep cuts, rolls, drags, and soft collects on script.

Gnarly Siren —

The Gnarly Siren is crafted for players who want complete board control without losing the speed to finish strong. Built with proven competitive fabrics, it strikes the perfect balance of finesse and aggression so you can dictate the pace of every round.

• Slow Side (Speed 6-7): The control side of Siren provides a grippy feel that excels at blocks, placement shots, and stack setups. It stops with precision, holding its line exactly where you need it while still offering the ability to bump or roll when the moment calls for it.
• Fast Side (Speed 10+): On the flip side, Siren unlocks smooth, high-speed slides that push through traffic with ease. It’s hole-friendly right, and takes minimal to no time to break in, delivering a consistent, straight shot that lets you clean up bags and finish rounds with confidence. No need for extra power when going fast side, just flip it and rip it. The fabric will allow your normal shot that extra speed needed to finish the clean up.
